This was the first song that Kathy and I wrote together. I had musically come from more hard rock background, when I found myself enamored to 50's rock n roll. I wanted to write a song that would feel like a classic song from that era. At the time I lived in an apartment that had thin walls and ceilings. You could hear your neighbors. The lady who lived upstairs had some cats and one late night I woke up to the sound of them playing around upstairs. The cats named in the song (Monster-Man and Sassy)where the real names of two cats that belonged to a girl I was dating at the time.
